Thoroughly clean and detail our guest rooms and public areas to the highest standard. Reporting to our Housekeeping Manager, the role is for the 2025 season from late February until early December 2025.

LEAD THE ACCOMMODATION & GUEST EXPERIENCE AT OUR OUTBACK OASIS!

We are seeking an experienced Team Member to oversee all aspects of our accommodation operations, including reservations, guest relations, housekeeping, and coordination of guest experiences. Reporting to our GM, the role is for the 2025 season from late February until early December 2025.

The Accommodation & Guest Experience Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to guests, ensuring their stay is seamless, welcoming, and memorable. Maximising occupancy, revenue, marketing & promotion, and maintaining & building reputation are integral aspects of the role.

Are you a passionate and dynamic culinary leader ready to take the reins at one of South Australia's most iconic outback destinations?

as head chef you will:

  • Inspire Culinary Excellence: Lead the creation and execution of innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the unique Prairie Hotel ethos. 

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop the kitchen team to foster a collaborative and high performing culture. 

  • Operational Oversight: Manage food operations, including budgeting, stock control, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. 

  • Guest Experience: Ensure every dish exceeds guest expectations in taste, presentation, and quality. 

  • Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with the General Manager to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and enhanced guest offerings. 

qualifications & attributes

  • Passion for Food & Hospitality: A deep enthusiasm for crafting exceptional dining experiences. 

  • Leadership Experience: At least 2+ years as a Head Chef or 5+ years as a Sous Chef, with a proven ability to inspire and lead teams. 

  • Qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher. 

  • Remote Living Commitment: A willingness to embrace the unique lifestyle of Parachilna and the greater Flinders Ranges. 

  • Culinary Creativity: A flair for menu innovation, with an eye on seasonal, sustainable, and profitable offerings. 

  • Operational Expertise: Strong skills in budgeting, stock control, and kitchen workflow optimization. 

  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication, coupled with a collaborative mindset.
